Don Jazzy Signs Two New Producers
Don Jazzy, has announced the signings of two new producers to Mavin Records, in the persons of Aluko “Altims” Timothy & Sunday “BabyFresh” Enejere.
Both producers are familiar with the Mavin crew already, having previously worked with D’Prince & Wande Coal.
Don Jazzy welcomed them to the fold, saying, “We older ones are not getting younger. It is a relief to have some young legs and minds to help our project. BabyFresh and Altims are fully activated and I promise there will be many new names for activation soon.”

The Oyo State Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, has sued the Independent Communications Network Limited, publishers of PM News for the sum of N1 billion.
This was disclosed in a release issued by Festus Adedayo, the governor’s Special Adviser on Media.
The evening newspaper had on Tuesday published a piece entitled ‘Anxiety over Florence Ajimobi’s alleged arrest in UK’ , wherein it published a story purportedly written by an online agency named Newsleak, which alleged that the wife of the governor had been arrested in London for money laundering.

The earrings were designed by a Puerto Rican jewelry designer named Erika Peña -- and up until last week, she had only sold 5 sets of the handmade earrings.
But her fortune changed overnight when Beyonce wore them last Saturday in NYC. Since then, Erika sold over 1,300 PAIRS!
Erika said she received orders almost immediately from all over the world -- England, Switzerland, Chile, and Argentina ... with her biggest order coming from London.
The earrings currently sell for $32 a pair -- so if our math is correct ... that's like, a ton of money.

RUSSEL BRAND SUED for allegedly hitting a pedestrain
Russell Brand just got sued by a pedestrian who claims the actor drove into him earlier this year in Los Angeles ...
From the lawsuit filed today in LA County Superior Court, Brand was driving "negligently" when he collided with the plaintiff, Victor Sneed, back in January.
In the docs, Sneed claims he was a pedestrian, and suffered personal injury, property damage ... and incurred hospital bills as a result of the accident.
The suit does not detail Sneed's alleged injuries, but he does claim he lost wages after the accident.

Court Awards N100,000,000.00 In Favour Of Brutalized Thenews Magazine Senior Reporter (Desmond Utomwen)
The High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, sitting at Apo, Abuja, per Hon. Justice U.P Kekemeke, on the 4th day of October, 2012 handed down judgment in favour of Desmond Utomwen of TheNews Magazine and member of Nigerian Union of Journalists to the tune of N100,000,000.00 (One Hundred Million Naira) in damages.
This judgment came after a long legal tussle between Desmond Utomwen, on the one side, and Guaranty Trust Bank and Nigeria Police Force, on the other side.
Nigerians will recall that at mid-day of Friday, December 11, 2009, men of the Nigerian Police Force in collaboration with staff of Guaranty Trust Bank Plc brutalized and beat to a pulp a Senior Correspondence of TheNews Magazine, Desmond Utomwen, while trying to cover a protest at Area 3, Abuja, over the massive fraudulent withdrawals via ATM said to have been made by the Bank officials.
I guess desmond is satisfied with the verdict.

Uduaghan’s Aide Raped and almost killed
A female top government functionary (names withheld) in Delta State had a close shave with death when she was attacked at her residence in DDPA area of Asaba, the state capital. The government’s appointee was allegedly raped, battered and tortured into coma by a man believed to be her former driver and two other accomplices.
The suspects are now in police custody. Public Relations Officer of the state’s police command, DSP Charles Muka, told Sunday Sun on phone that he was yet to be briefed on the incident. When our correspondent visited the victim’s three-bedroom apartment, the place had been deserted. But a close source said she was still recuperating in an undisclosed hospital. According to sources, on the fateful day, the victim’s driver had reported for duty as usual.
He was soon joined by his predecessor, who had earlier been “sacked by the madam”. “Nobody suspected anything was going on inside the house because of the high fence. But at about 10 p.m., the two drivers drove out of the compound in the madam’s jeep with 50 litres of fuel and never came back.” Having regained concsiousness at about 4 a.m. she struggled and managed to get to her neighbour’s gate to seek assistance. “When she knocked at the gate, I peeped through a small hole and found she was the one, I opened the gate and discovered she had matchet cuts all over her body.
It was at that point we raised an alarm and rushed her to hospital,” our source added. According to the source, there were blood stains on the walls in the victim’s apartment, adding that the blood on the floor had congealed. The source added: They broke her head, raped her and mutilated her body. The plot was to kill her, but God’s intervention saved her.”
However, following the incident, security operatives trailed the suspects to Abakiliki where they had gone to dispose of the vehicle and were subsequently arrested. A neighbour in the area told Sunday Sun that the attackers might have carried out the dastardly act as their own pound of flesh, describing the victim as too hostile to her domestic staff.
“Nobody stays here with her. She lives alone. Whenever the driver comes to pick her, he is not allowed to go into the house. He always hangs around the gate. Sometimes, he would sit on that stone and doze off. Her house girl too had to run away because of the way madam mal-treated her. There was a day she poured hot water on the girl because of early morning tea,” said a neighbour who pleaded anonymity.
